Areas of Expertise

Research interests and knowledge on artifacts and urban movements; social studies of science, technology and development; extractivism, rural development and environment; social appropriation of knowledge, Regional Innovation Systems, Modernity/Coloniality/Decoloniality and Social Construction of Technology. Recently is interested on the relationships between extractivism, STI policies and National Innovation Systems.


Ph.D Student in Governance of Knowledge and Innovation, Twente University, The Netherlands (2015 – 2019). Ms.C. Development Interdisciplinary Studies, Universidad de Los Andes (2012-2015) and B.S. in Anthropology & Minor in Law (2002 – 2007). Professional with over eight years of experience in governmental administrative, roles, public and private research, and consulting.
